After the break-up of the Yardbirds Jimmy Page, who held the right to
the band name, formed the "New Yardbirds" with Robert Plant, John
Bonham and John-Paul Jones. The band later changed their name to "Led
Zeppelin".

Bob Daisley, former member of Black Sabbath and Rainbow, formed international 'supergroup' Living Loud with Steve Morse, Lee Kerslake, Don Airey and Aussie singer Jimmy Barnes (of Cold Chisel fame).
These guys are worth a listen if you want to hear some quality non-prog rock music!
