My stepdad recently received a gift from his mother. Using the money, he bought my brother and I new watches and Dell Inspiron notebooks with 15" screens and a DVD / CD-RW drive. They also have Wireless cards for Internet. Am I lucky or what? I am SOOOOOO grateful to have such generous parents. Enought about my fortune, though. What is the nicest thing your parents have ever done for you?

Welcomed me back home with open arms and great compassion/understanding when I fell on hard times due to health problems a few years ago.

They are fantastic.

They did a fine job, considering

My parents aborted me, but after a year decided to have me anyway. they still regret that very day But they love me unconditionally, and I love them equally back.

My parents FORCED ME to learn to play a musical instrument (the SAXOPHONE ). And I'm still very grateful that they did, because it turned out I was pretty good at it, contrary to what everybody was expecting...

Johan Cruijff says: "Als je niet schiet, dan ken je niet scoren"

Joren van Ree says: "Als je niet blaast, dan ken je niks horen"

I understand the Cruyff quote-"if I dont shoot I cant score"

but Yours,not sure......."If I dont blast-then I wont be heard"?????

I could "babel" it but it probably wont make any sense..

Moi, juste le francais.

I did a degree in French (and English) Literature and have qualifications in German and Latin.

I cant really speak any of them now,but I can usually guess at the translation of most European languages.

I can usually just about get by in American,though..LOL

In German that would be.

Nicht blasen ist nichts hören

The nicest thing my mom ever did for me was keeping me fed and under a roof after my parents got divorced and my father stole all our money and kept the house. I blame the booze and cocaine, my father and I get along now but out relationship will never be the same.
