Can something be done about the proliferation of these (now) inane threads?

I guess it's just a sort of joke today: "everybody's doing it, me too!"   (NOT me and other rational members, right?)

Tomorrow they will be mostly forgotten, I bet. People start to see that no one cares to rate

very many threads.   ... TOO BAD THAT I WAS WRONG....

You're right of course, it's just that starting last night, the whole page seemed to fill up with them and everyone wanting a "go". This knocked out all other topics and it became a bit tedious. I've no doubt they'll soon dissapear though!

I think rating them is fun, but I posted mine to the "Get the word out" section, like somebody suggested in the forums. After all, it's about promoting your albums and your musical taste. There's not so much folk in that section, but I got two replies and that was very sufficent!

The main lounge should be left for subjects more significant to majority of the users, no?

Live and let live , man

Actually while those "dumb" threads happens , less interesting threads happen in the Prog Lounge, allowing most of us not interested in those , to work on more important stuff (in the collab zone) and adding albums.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword
