Topic: Bands that will NEVER be at ProgArchives Posted: August 11 2005 at 08:11 |
I've seen some discussion about this or that band that's here at ProgArchives. Let's make another one: in your opinion which band will never find a way to ProgArchives? I have three suggestions: Mötörhead, Ramones and The Rolling Stones

I dont know man, Jessica Simpson is pure symphonic prog, mixed with a little bit of RIO, its possible that she could be included.

Despite complex arrangements and a drumming style as much influenced by free jazz as by phil collins, I'm afraid Mastodon will never make it into the prog-metal section.
Also: Isis sounds rather progressive to me, almost like post-metal, but most people seem to find it too repetitive, and thus they won't be here either.

I like Mastodon, but I don't think that any member of the whole
metalcore genre would truly fit here. Its predecessor, Lethargy would
be a better candidate.

"Their Satanic Majestic's Request" by the Rolling Stones could be called a prog album, but one album of so many is not enough for an entry in the database

What about MAN.
Does anyone else think they should be here? If so add your name to the Man thread in the Bands section.
(sorry M.B. for the brief MAN advert in your thread)
