Topic: MY pictures at an exhibition Posted: August 09 2005 at 15:02 |
Some pictures done whilst listening to prog.
My first oil painting attempt, homage to the style of Roger Dean.
This resembles little the cover of BLACK WIDOW's "Sacrifice", no?
Scarecrows marching from the tower.
Infinite gaze? These four were done in my highschool art's lessons.
One of the recent works, perhaps describing the choose between love, death and insanity? Or just getting bored whilst playing with an ink pen.

Hot stuff.
I like the Eye one particularly, it could be the cover of a Tool album.

As a hobby for all of my life. Most of these were done when I was a teenager (I'll be 29 next sunday).

Sure, I'll try. But it's better not to sell for your living that which you love, as you lose it. I tried to go to art schools, but they vomited over me. I also tried the art's history in the univeristy, but I'm to subjective (read dumb). Alas, I'm too egoistic for advertising business too, I'm only interested about the lunic subjects of my own imagination.
I think I could do some illustrating, but I lack the connections. I would like to do art for psychedelic rock albumcovers! (Others than the one I''m involved)

I see what you are saying. A friend has just got himself a studio, with the intention of spending more time painting. he does commissions for people and also sells some paintings in local galleries/shops. he loves it and like you is good at what he does. he has also done the album cover of a indie-rock/prog band called Gloryscene. I think your artwork would work brilliantly on a CD for a band. you should look into it. you're a talented guy.

Well, thank you so much for your support!
I'll have to work regurally for six more years, then I'll have my appartment loans paid off. After that I could live with very little money. Maybe I'll concentrate then only for painting and listening goodie ol' proggy psych tunez!

Great stuff, love the last 2 especially. The last one is very provokative and the eye is definitely infinite

You have an amazing talent.
Do you have anymore works to show us?
I find that my best works are inspired by listening to creative music.

Sure!
Aqualung?
I recall I did this while listening to "Phallus Dei" by AMON DÜÜl 2.
This is "Solitary". There's supposed to be a children's swing there...
This is more recent one, and I think it's called "Girl at edge of a forest". You should see her eyes and a shadow of her goldilock. I did this while listening to MORTE MACABRE! When drawing with ink, I don't do sketching. That is visible in some patterns which are not so neatly detailed, but it makes drawing more faster, images more spontaneous and I'm not able to ruin the finished work when I should wipe out the pencil scetches.
Thanks to all of you, for your encouraging comments!

I already said it once, but I'll say it again. Wow! Seriously, all
those pictures are amazing. If you have more of them, I would gladly
have a look!
