Devin Townsend. That album he made with Steve Vai is amazing. Sex and
Religion shows a lot of things but mostly it presented a world class metal singer |

It's still Russell Allen for me. Devin Townsend is great, but I appreciate him even more as a songwriter and guitarist, and that's also how he describes himself.

Very tough call. Alder and Tate would probably be the most
influential (where would Russel Allen, Daniel Gildenlow and James
LaBrie be without them?), Maynard and Devin would be the most
versatile, yet I have to give my vote to Mikael.

It's a tough choice, but I 'ave to go with Mikael Akerfeldt. His growl is truly unique. Geoff Tate is a close second.

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime. I never said I was frightened of dying. |

This is going way different this time But how can Mike Baker be so underrated? He's got such a uniqe voice and is more versatile then Fish himself! He's truly lke a actor-vocalist. He can sing anything!

He can scream well, but that's it. Daniel Gildenlow has the full package |

You need to listen to Steve Vai - Sex & Religion, track #7 in particular. Devin has a magnificent voice and flawless technique. |

Sounds better to me than "He can scream well, but that's it.". BTW: Check out his album "Infinity" - it's amazing and features several vocal "stunts". |

Yeah Slayer is the best prog metal band ever. Tough choice: LaBrie, Allen, Gildenlow, Endglund and Akerfeld are magnificent! I chosen Mikel Akerfeld really great singer, Gildenlow, Allen and LKa Brie were close but... not this time guys |

He`s quite talented. You should add Jorn Lande (Ark, Masterplan, Jorn)
I simply love this guys voice. Sweden has so many great Vocalists -
Gildenlow, Akerfeld, Lande, Englund, Stolt and that`s only a few

Michael Matejevic>All these mere peons. This man can do practically anything with his voice. He is godlike.
