My wife once met Jon Anderson, although she had no idea who he was at the time and still has no appreciation of this momentous event. She was sitting in his front room while her sister cut Jon's (then) wife's hair. Jon came in and uttered the immortal words "who are you?".

Anyone else got any similiar stories?

Never met a prog giant, in terms of actually speaking to them, although when I went to see Bill Brufords Earthworks, at a local arts centre, some years back, I stood next to him at the bar before the gig!

I'd had my back to him. He came on stage 30 minutes later and my friend said, 'that drummer bloke was standing next to you at the bar'

A near miss, I guess. However, they do say you should never meet your heroes...dissapointment and all that..

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Bruford often boasts that he stood next to you at a bar Blacksword (he did it to get girls I'm told). I thought he'd been lying up to this point but I stand corrected.

I'll mention it to Fripp, Eno and the rest of the boys at tonight's poker game.

I almost forgot - I once stood near Jimmy Page at a mate's gig, and he laughed when they did "Rock'n'Roll" as an encore!
