Topic: Gabriel vs. Collins Posted: August 03 2005 at 11:19 |
This is a pointless question, because it is so obvious that Gabriel is ten times better than Collins...in both cases...
The poll has two sections...
Section A is Gabriel solo vs. Collins solo
Section B is Gabriel Genesis vs. Collins Genesis
If you think they're equal,press C or D
I have allowed multiple votes,so that you can vote both in A and in B
cases (so to be able to vote twice),but please no cheating...Only one
vote in each...please...

Peter Gabriel in Genesis was amazing, so I voted for that.
Peter Gabriel solo is also very good, so I'm going with that as well.

In the end it will appear a hidden result to show which is the best of the best:
Gabriel's solo,
Collins's solo,
Gabriel in Genesis or
Collins in Genesis...
Have fun...

I think there's no contest in this case, though the first two Genesis albums without Gabriel were quite good. In my opinion, Collins should've stuck to drumming!

The only way Collins will get any votes is if you do Gabriel drumming vs Collins drumming.
Phil is a great drummer.

Fully agree!

Don't agree with this though. Collins has an excellent voice, it's just that he has made the choice to use it for less interesting music.

Well, it's seems to be I'm the first who thinks Peter and Phil are on a par as it comes to Genesis.
Solo: Gabriel is better. I won't push it

Voted Gabriels Genesis.
Gabriels Genesis released 5 excellent studio albums.
Collins Genesis only managed 4 excellent studio albums.

And I rather listen to Judy Collins than Phil's solo stuff. (She's a folk/entertainment troubadour of mainly 60's and 70's.)
FAR TOO PREDICTABLE POLL!

EETU WROTE: Did she have the number "Michel from mountains"? I like folkwomen!
I don't know that song, I've heard Judy's very fine 2CD compilation Forever.
Folkwomen are nice indeed. "Joan is the loveliest woman in the world" sung Ultra Bra. (Sorry all non-Finnish, I bet you haven't got a glue - I mean clue - what's Ultra Bra.)
And now the best moment of my dull dull dull workday: home! ' Later!

Gabriel solo, although I'm not bowled over by either, and I've only heard two solo albums from each.
PGII - 6/10 PGIII - 8/10
