Well, it's a bit trivial but Jon Anderson didn't change his name but he did change the spelling which was originally 'John'.

His name is Zivojinovich (may have mis-spelled that). According to an interview with him (from the CD "An Interview With Kings"), it translates literally into "Life son". Polish if I'm not mistaken.

That's a great CD, I love when they talk about the band's writing and rehearsing schedule! For some reason I wanna say he is Scandinavian??? ?

Really, you liked it? I thought it was one of the biggest wastes of money I've ever spent on a CD. You can barely hear anything, and the line of questioning, with a few exceptions, is pretty boring.

As far as the origin of Zivojinovich goes, Sean Trane got it right a few posts above. He is of Yugoslav or Serb descent.

I never knew Geddy's parents and grandparents were in the Nazi camps until reading Bill Banasiewicz's (sp?) official bio of the band. His father, grandmother or grandfather (I don't remember which; it's been a while since I read it) died as a result of the internment.

Every since learning that, I can't listen to the song "Red Sector A", without misting up a little bit.
