Well I'm pretty certain that Cert1fied believes Muse, and particularly this album,are prog and 6 months ago I would have laughed as hard as I did about Radiohead.And yet......

I love this album,it is so inventive and vital,even when some mu

Muse has some interesting moments and the first song could definitely be defined as prog from the Absolution lp, but after that it sounds like Alternative rock with a twist.

They certainly use all the excesses of prog.  If anyone thinks Queen were prog then Muse are. 

Maybe prog thinly veiled as alt pop rock.

It's a great album but it's not prog.
Some prog fans try to make every band they like prog, but there is good music outside of prog too!!!

Okay now I've listened to Origin of Symmetry and my mind has totally changed. This is prog, and quite extraordinarily fantastic new prog too! This album is a lot more complex and heavier too, lots of soaring guitars to be found here. Yes I think Muse sh

Muse are my favorite band, tied with Yes

i'd agree that Origin of Symmetry is progressive rock, and my favorite album tied with Close to the Edge

Absolution also has a lot of prog on it, but its brought down by some things like Time is R
