hello all....i hope posting your own stuff isnt against the rules(ive seen it done but never been told it was ok) sorry if it is , tell me and i wont again...anyway some of you have asked to hear other stuff i have worked on so im posting a couple more links(you cant click on them but you can copy and paste them into the address line on your browser).....again i dont really think any of this is prog but....all my compositions are a little different stylistically and place emphasis on different aspects of the compositional process ,however it all tends to end up "timbral, rather than melodic" as james lee puts it....anyway there is nothing brilliant here but i think i do have a sense of originality....please post any thoughts you have, and remember, im just a beginner...thanks

ME!
And Jesus said unto John, "come forth and receive eternal life..."
Unfortunately, John came fifth and was stuck with a toaster.

I listened to the 1st song and found it too techno for my tastes....a la Fat Boy Slim. I like real instruments in my music...your music fits the hip dance club scenes better...although if it were to succeed there, more energy would have to be applied to the music.

Overall not my cup of tea.

Sorry, I REALLY wanted to like it so I could give you a boost of encouragement.

try listening to more than one song of mine before you are so quick to categorize "my music" please...it seems if you REALLY wanted to give me some "boost" yud have listened to all the specimens i provided rather than dismissing me after one listen to one song....moreover, i rather think yu wanted to not give me any positive feedback as it seems you even looking at this thread is probably derivative of my comments on those who share your sexual orientation

You wanted feedback, but when you don't like the feedback it's because other reasons than the fact that your music is bad. If you can't stand critisism, don't ask people to be critic.

I see only what I want to see, and although I am just a beginner, I don't see you as a winner.

tuxon you are an intellectually devoid moron.....i can take criticism just fine ....i cant take someone labellign my genre of music after hearing one song of mine one time...thank you for showing us all how truly ignorant yu really are, and again your comments on this post are obviously a direct derivative of the homophobe post.....i dont care what people who cant get past personal feelings have to say to me about my music

also, if you had taken the time to listen to the songs yoiu would know that there are live instruments in some of them....he criticizes me completely without merit for something that doesnt hold true to all my work and you tell me i cant take criticism? your attitudes prove the only reason yu are here is personal....stay the f**k away from me and my threads

I'm intellectually deprived, not devoid, and I am not a mormon, I'm not even religious for that matter.

BTW I fully accept blame.

I feel sorry for the person who wrote that music, who was it Hopelevre? I mean the guy (or girl) obviously has some ideas but just doesnt have the basic talent or intelligence to pull it off.Reminds me,somewhat,of the inarticulate ramblings I used to produce when I was a child.I'd set up my little keyboard and strum away on a battered old 4 string guitar (2 were missing and I wasnt able to replace them) and sing lyrics I'd made up in 1st grade poetry class.it was all very charming and fun-but only for me.Confused
You need to sit down with the person who recorded the music and say, look you've tried your best, but give up your dream, nobody is ever going to like this.It is too unsophisticated for adults and has nothing that will appeal to the teeny market, apart from the juvenile keyboards.
You've got to be cruel to be kind HL so do this for your friend.

reed lover i do respect your musical tastes and accept your criticism...however, many people have commented on my music positively, i am relatively new in the artform and each piece i make is better which is encouraging, and although i may lack the chops necessary to make an impression on some of you progsnobs i beleive there are other aspects of my work yu may not be noticing such as the mix and production qualities, textural experimentation, and genre crossing

If you think that is bad, you should have seen the way Reed Lover ripped my poetry....and he actually likes me.

Oh,I didnt realise you had actually created this stuff, sorry.
Ignore what I said and keep up the good work.
It is obviously deeper than I first thought and maybe only seems amateurish and unintelligent on the outside. I will listen again and dig really deep into the songs to uncover some kind of intelligence in the random chaos.Sometimes in the sh*t you can find diamonds buried.
