Just wanted to add that the B-sides on the "pop albums" also are fabulous.

I love "Crises" and "Five Miles Out" - but I fully agree that Amarok is the greatest.

It's like "Short Cuts" transformed to music or ...

Amarok is maybe his best! It is very inspired and follows up perfectly to Ommadawn. Hergest ridge is very nice too, al lot quieter though.

I love Amarok.It was intended to be Ommadawn 2 as already mentioned.Both albums are great although Incantations is actually my MO desert island disc.

It's strange you don't like Ommadawn (usually this album pops up in many 'best' lists), specially since 'Amarok' is more or less an 'Ommadawn' part 2, right from the cover and the celtic influences (not to mention the fact that Virgin wanted a TB p
