Personally, I love these guys. I own their first album, and I love it. I'm getting their second album very soon.

I was curious about your opinion of these guys. They are rarely ever mentioned here. Let me know.

Out of the 7 members, 3 are from the Flower Kings: Roine Stolt, Jonas Reingold, and Zoltan Czorsz.

The Tangent are freaking awesome.

Oh, and Roine didn't write any of the songs on the second album, but he did help with the arranging, and of course wrote his guitar parts.

Tillison wrote most of the stuff on the second album, right?

Yup.  The title track is actually a remake of an old Po90 song.

I have the first CD and I like it. I don't listen to it as much now as I did when I first got it a year ago but it's good. The Caterbury Sequence is my favorite song and the first song is good too. I don't care much for the last song - it's a bit too poppy and slow for me. Overall I give the first album a 3 1/2 rating. Canterbury Sequence is killer prog-rock though!

Hello,

Yes they're very nice. Cantebury sphere with Keith Emmersons keyboards.

Krister Jonsson - Guitars & vocals (Karmakanic a project from Jonas)
Jaime Salazar - Drums (ex Flower Kings drummer!)

Ok, after viewing the website, I see that it is a "live" release... which does in fact include Stolt... his absence in the new lineup would make some since though, considering he spreads himself thin these days...

Yeah, i read not too long ago (yesterday I think) about Stolt not playing live. To be honest, I'm disappointed. I mean, I know that the Tangent's first album originally began as Tillison's first solo album, so this is primarily his band, but Stolt leaving (or at least not playing live for now) might hurt them.
