i have selected different types of german bands for you to decide which ones you think to be the most interesting. I am very curious for the result, because, in my opinion, there is no favourite.

Hello Pedro, Nice list, but don't you forgotten a few major bands? A new one and already a star: RWPL.... great Prog with influences of Pink Floyd, Beatles and India spheres. 4 great albums, try "As God has failed" first and you'll be amazed, a real WishYouWereHere-stylish album. Anyones Daughter and Ashra Temple are another two, i wish you had added.

Two questions:
Where is Tangerine Dream (the best German group)? Didn't we have this same poll just a while ago? |

Tangerine Dream! Of those in the list, I prefer Guru Guru.
P.S: You did quite well in leaving RPWL out of the poll... God, they're awful... |
|
And above all, is punk

Can , AD II , Vuh and Guru in your list for the early 70's. Grobschnitt had good albums. Jane and Birth Control were really more Hard Rock at first. |

Neu, La Düsseldorf, Kraftwerk, Michael Rother could get filed as a Düsseldorf Style like Canterbury. All these musicians came from Düsseldorf or the region, played together and were influenced by the industrial "monotone" rhyhtms of this area, with an ironic touch especially for Kraftwerk and Neu. Krupps : Stahlwerksymphonie , another Band from this town is another good example of this industrial music. Edited by Alucard |
