Actually? Well... Yeah, I like MK-1, and Deep Purple's first four albums. I also like them from "In Rock" on, but that ain't prog anymore, is it?

when a blind man cries is a single not very known, it is a ballad similar to soldier of fortune.

however my top:

bloodsucker

mistreated

april

keep on moving

you fool no one

ps. perfect strangers was not bad, but later I know little of them

...and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make...

This is interesting...does anyone remember the 1986 film of Biggles (time travelling and whatnot)? Because in the part where the Evil German Bad Guy (blatant von Richtofen rip off) gets into his plane at his airfield - the music playing is the bass part at the beginning to Deep Purple's "Knockin at Your Back Door" from 1985's 'Perfect Strangers'...after the bass part it lapses into the film's original music. Strange!

Btw, I voted for Child In Time...AAAAAAAAAH!!!
And Jesus said unto John, "come forth and receive eternal life..."
Unfortunately, John came fifth and was stuck with a toaster.

Does nobody like "Soldier Of Fotune"? That's, like, the saddest DP song ever, sadder than The Blind Man Cries.

Yes, I like it, that's interesting song, sad ballad... I have Blackmore's Night "Past time with good company", it's a live album where is interesting version of "Soldier...", Candice has beautiful voice. Do you know that Ritchie Blackmore's band?

O.K. This poll is weird, why there are only 4 songs?
There are my favourites:
1. Child In Time
2. Perfect Strangers
3. Anya
4. Smoke On The Water
5. When the blind man cries

Sure. I have their three first albums. Ritchie's guitar playing is awsome, to me, the best in his career.
