A top 5 with 4 choices?ConfusedLOL

There are many more fine DP songs than just the four you've listed. "Child in time" is clearly the best of those you've selected. (No "Sweet" in the title by the way, I think you're getting mixed up with Guns'n'roses "Sweet child o' mine"Wink)

From those Child in Time,

Own list.

Burn
Highway star
Child in time
Lazy
Flight of the rat

Spread the word around The rat is leaving town
The message is a song
The misery is gone

Once I had a dream
To sing before the queen
She didn't want to know
She wouldn't see the show

What a fright
I couldn't do it right
Oh what a night

Mystic demons fly
All about the sk
With memories of a clown
The saddest show in town

When I was seventeen
Me mother said to me
Be careful what you touch
You shouldn't take so much

I blew my mind
She was so kind
I could have cried

In my mind
I had to fin
A kind of new way
Of being oh so cool
Like a blue blooded
Well studded
English fool

Speak about the past
Times are changing fast
Once I was so weak
I couldn't even speak

Shaking put a curse
Nothing could be worse
Walking through the door
Who could ask for more

Now I'm free
And I can see
That I am me

Spread the word around
The rat is leaving town
The message is a song
The misery is gone

Shaking out a curse
Nothing could be worse
Walking through the door
Who could ask for more

Now I'm free
And I can see
That I am me

Please stay away

Horrible lyrics, but a great song

I'm always almost unlucky _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Id5ZcnjXSZaSMFMC Id5LM2q2jfqz3YxT

"Lazy" is my favorite. Even the mighty Zeppelin rarely got their blues as heavy as that track.

But don't make too much fun of me when I say that I like "Perfect Strangers" too.

Hey Rivera's Hope, never heard that join song of Guns & Roses and Deep Purple

Sweet child O' Mine + Child in Time = Sweet Child in time

Do you have a sampler?

Just joking, but now seriously:

  1. Burn
  2. Child in Time
  3. Higway Star
  4. Woman from Tokyo
  5. Stormbringer

One of my fav. bands, but not prog at all.

I think there is some prog there Ivan. Agreed not enough to warrant inclusion in the archives, but "Child in time", "Knocking at your back door", "Burn", "Strange kinda woman", "No no no", "Mistreated", "Perfect strangers" etc., all have prog metal overtones.

Maybe Easwy Living, I also find sone prog chords in Burn and Child in time, but the structure of the tracks is not progressive.

The songs name is Child in time Very good poll the strangest choice of choices I've ever seen in any poll ever (or in any other situation at all, for that matter), though........extra interesting, perhaps, just because of that...
