His work with floyd could be considered prog, but his solo work is not even close.

Where?
I searched for his name just to see he wasn't added. The title of this thread is misleading.

I agree totally, and started a thread in the past with the reasons why.
Dave Gilmour's solo work is no more progressive than Syd's, yet he IS
included in the Archives. Oh well, life goes on...

No, his solo albums ain't progressive rock... But Gilmour's ain't either! So I think that it might make some sense...

Syd Barrett deserves being in progachirves! Is one of the first musician that play prog rock - Astronomy Domine and Intersstelar Overdrive. Is a Genius!

I agree that if Dave is on PA, Syd should be as well. However, that doesn't mean that either's solo work is really prog.

Says you.
I enjoy it very much. "Mihalis", "There's No Way Out Of Here", "Cry From The Street"; there's some good songs there IMO.

I hope that the Collaborators of PA make justice and insere Syd Barrett on this site. Syd Barrett deserves! In my humble opinion the solo work is psycadelic music with influences of prog rocks.
