There are quite a few programs out there to do it. I found YesSpeak easy to do , but Yes Symphonic I found troublesome, and ended up having to manually set all the cue points.

I used No1 DVD Ripper to rip the audio, then either Nero or Goldwave to split/edit the audio files. There is undoubtably better sotware out there and 1 place to check is cnet. Also, I'm sure someone else here could point you in a better and easier direction.

You do need a DVD drive. I used a programme called DVD Ripper  to copy the AC3 files. then you need to convert the AC3 file to wav, I used "PX3's AC3 to WAV". Then split the tracks
