I just read a posting on the abolition of polls in the Progarchives fourm.  It went on to discuss Marxism, and album cover artists.  I was going to post a reply stating that I like polls, and that Roger Dean was my favorite cover artist.  I wasn't sure what to say about Karl Marx.  Then, I went on to think "Hipgnosis makes great cover art too!" What's your opinion?

Storm Thorgerson is just an important prog cover artist as Roger Dean and he didn't get put on that Prog Guide in the Prog Rock? Section last time i looked. I was utterly disapointed as Storm was doing work even before Roger!

For those that dont know does 90% of Pink Floyds work as well as all the mars voltas work except for the tremulant ep. Plus going for the one, tormato, houses of the holy, absolution, prescence, lots of alan parsons, in through the out door. cant think of any more but he has worked with styx, quartermass, dream theater, phish, peter gabriel, megadeth, audioslave, black sabbath

I'm a Coke addict too!

A Night at the Opera is one of my favourite films of all time
And Jesus said unto John, "come forth and receive eternal life..."
Unfortunately, John came fifth and was stuck with a toaster.

Not really comparable because you compared drawings with photos. Hipgnosis got my vote.
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword
