I believe they are the same recordings TM, but I was meaning the compilation boxes the 4 CD "Led Zeppelin" and the 2 CD "Boxed set 2", which between them had all the Zep tracks.

If you mean the Complete Studio Recordings box, its great, i had it for a year and its really worth the $125 it costs.

The remasters on the Box sets released a few years ago were superb. Jimmy page was actively involved in the work. The original recordings of the early albums were poor, but now the songs can be heard in all their intended glory.

The remasters individually sound great....but not THAT much better than the previously released CDs....PLUS, no bonus material.....there are very few bonus tracks from very few bands that I'd look forward to hearing, but Zep would sure be one of them.

I really don't like the boxed sets....tossing all the LPs on four CDs...there's even one with absolutely no logic behind song order.  But, Page did the remastering himself, so at least it was done with love (of $$ or music, that's another question).

I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....
