Severus Snape 'cause he's portrayed by Alan Rickman

Ron Beasley of course. He brings humor to the movies, which is really why I like them. As each film tried to out-do the previous one in terms of being "dark," I lost more and more interest in it. The earliest, funniest ones were the best, imo. So I went with 'other.' But from the list, Severus - 'cause he's also funny. Harry Potter is like Superman (or if you prefer, Othello) - the hero at the center, and as dull as a door nail. It's the Joker (or Iago), or the characters around the center, that makes it interesting.
EDIT: Oops, mixed metaphors: I confused Superman and Batman (who is slightly more interesting...).

All of the characters are important, but I'll vote for Albus Dumbledore.

When he rides, my fears subside. For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night.

Seems like a no-brainer to me. Harry Potter is the most important character to Harry Potter.

Anyone who doesn't say Draco Malfoy with his patronizing British kid tone is simply wrong.

And Snape verbally abuses Harry and his friends, is ridiculously obsessed with Harry's mom, and was a death eater most of his life, and yet Harry named one of his kids after both of them
