Sorry. I suggested them about a year ago before I became member of the team and the answer was no.

It is a case by case deal regarding every band. there is no free ride into prog electronic really.

Most of what is already here under PE, either owes a great debt to the early Berlin School of electronics and/or Krautrock - or they've incorporated a vastly synthesizer lead foundation into the rock, fusion or avant mould. This is the link progressive electronic has to prog rock, and why it has it's place here on the progressive rock site.
While ambient electronic indeed was pioneered by some of the artists we've got up it this mother (Peeps like Kluster, Schulze, TD and Pascal Comelade), it was still an entirely different beast than the modern stuff like Stars of the Lid. I love both styles btw, but I don't see this happening.

I'd like to propose the group Stars of the Lid for progressive electronic. Although they are an ambient group, they use mostly synthesizers and other electronics to craft their epic works.

On another note, where does the genre of "ambient music" fall on this site? I know post-rock is a genre here, but that's still limiting many ambient groups. But, for example, other ambient groups like Tim Hecker, Tangerine Dream and Brian Eno appear on this site. Will other ambient groups be welcome on to progarchives in the future? In other words, is ambient music considered prog, or will it be a case-by-case basis.
