^ thanks that's very useful, a demarcation that corroborates the political distinction from one land mass from another. A subject clearly intuitive to Colorado inhabitants. A sovereign state is a nonphysical juridical entity of the international legal system that is represented by an elected government that has supreme independent authority over a geographic area. Ireland is stand alone and self governing. Let me know which part of that eludes you.

group of islands off the northwest coast of continental Europe that include the islands of Great Britain, Ireland and over six thousand smaller isles.[7] Two sovereign states are located on the islands: Ireland (additionally described as the Republic of Ireland, covering five-sixths of the island of the same name)[8] and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (commonly known as the United Kingdom)."

Bollocks. The Republic of Ireland has been independent from the UK since 1922. They fought for that autonomy and the distinction is recognised as a republic wef 1949 which transferred the remaining duties of a monarch to an elected president. What time tunnel did you come through |

I'd say probably Northern, at least that's what I would consider the Scandinavian countries to fall under. Lovely country though. I was there a couple of years ago with my dad. |
