Topic: Mike Portnoy is leaving Adrenaline Mob Posted: June 15 2013 at 00:31 |
Mike Portnoy has major OSD. He is always gonna take on so much...it'll never change. He will probably leave Transatlantic at some point. I won't be surprised. Portnoy is "chaos in
Motion." the wheels never stop turning. ;)

^ I'm sorry, but you've handled the quotation in such a way that it makes referring to different issues very inconvenient.

What dictionary? What are you talking about? There's never an excuse for insulting someone ... unless they done some damage to you.

By the manner of his rhetoric it doesn't sound like he's complaining. Maybe his interests change very often. |
I meant he uses it as an excuse to leave the band. If his interests change often, don't join a band to stay. If he was invited, fine.

How do you figure? |
Well, if he did, would he leave like that? It takes him one year to figure out he won't have time? No, he knew it from the beginning. If you join a band, you have a responsability. Not only to yourself, but to the others too.

I choose myself when I am negative or not, thank you very much.

Most things are, but to be honest, the Flying Colors album is mostly forgettable, except for the first and last track.

Well...my favorite Portnoy is his work with Morse and Transatlantic (and I suppose Flying Colors). If the announcement means more of these collaborations, then I think it's a good thing!
(Full disclosure: have not heard Adrenaline Mob)

Thank you, God of Rock, for this chance to kick ass

I don't know why he didn't take that band with Derek Sherinian, Tony McAlpine, and Billy Sheean further. Seemed like they could have recorded a really cool jazz- fusion album.

AM was/is very bad...the new Winery Dogs is very generic pop/rock, at least from the YT clip. If he is gonna float around different bands he needs to focus on stuff like LTE, Transatlantic and Neal Morse...he is getting long in the tooth and needs to settle down. Generic pop/rock crowd will not care who he is, nor give him anything he feels he is looking for....Its a one-hit wonder genre. The "Slayer" crowd don't care for MP much.....

I won't comment on his supposed intelligence, but he's pretty far from a kid.

So when is someone going to question why this is "prog news"? (prog-related maybe...)

I like Portnoy, but people like him are the reason many cliques exist. A few that come to mind,
"He writes checks with his mouth that his ass can't cash."
"He has good intentions, but the road to hell is paved with the bricks of good intentions." Enough said.

Portnoy is a stupid kid. He joins 3024802348209 bands. Then he leaves complaining that he doesn't have time. Of course he doesn't, so why does he join so many bands? He doesn't give a sh*t about the other members. What an irresponsible guy. And yet he has many fans who kiss their ass.
