Never.
I find "Emo" extremely irritating...
|
what sort of emo? name some bands.
|
The bands that come to mind include: Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Alkaline Trio etc. etc.
I find the music dull and boring, and the vocals quite irritating. If you don't consider some of these bands Emo then i apologise, but they're the sort of bands that come to my mind

Emo would make me leave any room, I hate rap also but I can tolerate it. But Emo............
I say an album of Rap, emo, pop/punk would make me cry! Phil, so we know anyone who likes those genres? Hm..................... cough, mike, cough

Hey! I'm insulted! OK, not really, what can I say? I'm an ugly person who listens to ugly music, (although those two bands in particular are not really my thing).

Well.....Meshuggah is deff. not fun for the ears, but I like it.
Music that would make me run screaming from any room is pop/punk. Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Simple Plan, etc.
Why do you want to know? I hope you're not planning on making some hideous CD of the worst music you can get to annoy your friends at say, some poker game.............

Gorguts, especially the Obscura album...think Captain Beefheart playing metal
Ruins would probably scare most people, although they do rock, and bass/drum duos seem to be quite popular

I also like "ugly" music, as I like "beutiful" music too.
I once terrorized a party with a KING CRIMSON compillation I had done on casette from Wetton-Cross era. They survived it long, but during the halfway of "Providence" I heard somebody shut the stereo.
Try PAT MENTHENY's "The sign of four" Knitting Factory performance. Not quite as gentle as his basic productions.

'Ugly' music rules ! All these 'ugly', extreme genres like death metal, grindcore, free jazz, RIO etc. are so tough to get into, but nearly always prove all the more rewarding in the end.
