wut about Lucky Luke??
Well, Lucky Luke wasn't as popular and it was more traditionnal than the other two comic books. These two books were the most influent and I'm pretty sure Lucky Luke will lose against the funny Asterix and the Mighty Tintin. If I'm wrong, say it to me. But I don't say that I don't like Lucky Luke. The Daltons are one of the greatest comic book characters. Funny. -

J'aime beaucoup les deux mais je crois que je penche pour Astérix! Il a changé ma jeunesse!

always been a Hergé fan, never really got Asterix
Maybe it's because you read the books in english. Read (or watch) Asterix and Cleopatra and The Twelve Tasks of Asterix and you'll understand why. As a Quebecer, we don't like the french accent but we cannot resist the great humor of Asterix.

Two of my favourites. My vote went to Tintin mainly for nostalgic reasons – but also because the Asterix albums made after Goscinny’s death are quite disappointing (at least the ones I have seen).

Asterix. My grandmother gave me my first comic, which was the first Asterix album, when it was just released in the end of 1966. It took me some more years to understand a few things because most 7-year old laddies don't know their classics yet. But I have always liked them.
It took me some more years to appreciate Tintin. I like them almost equally.

Tintin can suck it.
