Yeah ... that's good.
Though I really think that if one wants a bass player, I would probably start with Don Schiff ... who is by far one of the better Stick players out there ... Levin is not that great a Stick player at all! Don, in many of his shows and work with the Rocket Scientists, has done some magnificent bass work ... that unffortunately is not being heard or appreciated.
Don with Christian? ... massive!!!!! Absolutely massive!

John Pattitucci on bass and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums! (maybe a bit too jazzy?)

Wake+Howe and the Mars Volta, that would be interesting (they need the extra guitar live) and i think Wakemann would be an interesting addition to their music Could call it : The Mars VoltaEdited by tamijo - November 11 2012 at 02:34 |

On second thought, how about Bryan Beller and Marco Minnemann from The Aristocrats? Then the band could be called... Yes, we did steal our rhythm section from The Aristocrats.

That one sounds perfectly acurate.
However, since Portnoy has been mentioned several times, what about the Transatlantic rhythm section? Portnoy and Trewavas... |

Um... Have a listen to samples from his latest album Jacaranda.
Bass: Tony Levin, I guess, even though I don't think he's really a good fit, stylistically speaking. (As much as I like Billy Sherwood, I don't see that happening.) Drums: Deen Castronovo, currently with Journey. He can play, and he's got a great voice. He's certainly bombastic enough for Yes.
CRAWL: Castronovo Rabin Anderson Wakeman Levin

^^^^ Dumb ushers were awful that night not letting me tape the whole thing with visual so I had to tape rest of concert with black screen only
Yes live Melbourne St Kilda Palais Theatre on 11 April 2012 singing "Your Move/All Good People". I recorded it sneakily way up the back of the theatre as the ushers were strict and stopped everyone from filming. The quality is not great but it captures the sound well. At the end the usher walked all the way up the back and told me to stop filming - you can hear her at the end of the clip.
