I've written a small novel in the Watership Down - style (Richard Adams) when I was 18 years old.
"Invasion of the wolves", with alpine marmots ![]() Never had it published, though. I was quite proud of it when I was 18, but as I grew older, I saw more and more shortcomings.. Still want to write a novel once, but in this period of my life I'm too busy with work, family etc. Nice opening lines by Torodd BTW, I must say

Torodd Fuglesteg's first book "The Final Ride" is now easily downloadable from Amazon US or UK.
The Final Ride from Amazon USA The Final Ride from Amazon UK As usual, Raffaella Berry has written an eloquent and very informative review of this book. Click here to read the review. Torodd is now working on his second novel. |

Eeew - laxative and spewing
![]() Both my novels were written episodically and published on the web a chapter at a time - I wouldn't have done that without producing a plan beforehand because it would have been a horrible mess otherwise - the downside was editing was out of the question - I couldn't go back and put the key under the mat in chapter four so the hero could find it in chapter twelve. As you can imagine from my posts here - I'm seldom lost for words and tend to be verbose, but writing to a timescale tended to force me to be more economic (I hope).
True - it would be an interesting and I suspect challenging read.

I suppose everyone is different. I just let the words spew out on the keyboard, and when I am finished, I go back, endlessly, to make sense of it all and edit. I suspect that many people who contribute here have a damn good novel in them. You would be one of the first that come to mind.

I have several novels in me, but I need a literary laxative to get them out.
![]() The trouble with having a good story is figuring out how to not screw it up with words. |

Yes, that's the next thing to do - when I get my PC back from the insurance company ![]() Those are two nice looking books, Dean. When I get some time, I'll take a better look. I have to travel to Lincoln by train next week with work, so............................

Their choice too - there's an old saying that everyone has at least one novel in them & personally, I've every admiration for someone who shows the committment, positive attitude & work ethic to put the ideas onto paper & go through the trials & tribulations of getting it published.
