Yeah, it's actually quite hard to think about him singing any part of the song. Unless he does death growls for Apocalypse 9/8

Yeah, I can imagine Mikael growling "How Dare I Be So Beautiful." Some harsh vocals on "Willow Farm" would be hillarious, too. Gabriel's vocals were kinda yelpy anyway, and the live performances were even crazier. Mikael might as well take it a step further and scream his head off.

Love Akerfeldt. I Still think he has the best death growls in the whole universe. Should be interesting him re-recording one of prog's premier epics.

Not too long ago a metalhead introduced Mikael to me as his hero. Ever since that occurrence Mikael has gotten more proggier and now he's my hero. I can see how Mikael is really leaving his metal fans behind with all this 70s prog he's doing, like this and Storm Corrosion.

I don't know what to say to you Dean, you're obviously mad....
I could imagine him doing some of the more gentle sections, but yeah the finale? You crazy man

After, "baby it's gonna work out right," he'll probably just warble "God is dead" and end it there.

I would not be surprised if more than one singer is involved on Supper's Ready - a reworking with multiple voices would make sense.

This is Hackett doing Genesis Revisited II so it's not that much of a risk in my opinion - we know from Watcher of the Skies: Genesis Revisited that this is likely to be a reworking and not a straight copy, so whatever happens I'm sure Hackett will match the reworking to Åkerfeldt's voice and not try and get him to do a Gabriel impression.

Sounds interesting and then not really. I love Genesis and large portions of Mikael's work, but the idea of a cover hhhmmm I'm not that sure to be honest.

Based on Opeth's Heritage and his collaboration with Steven Wilson on Storm Corrosion, and his one guest appearance with O.S.S., I'm actually becoming a fan of his, although I doubt I will ever check out his death metal stuff. This could be way cool.

This sounds awesome... So far his step away from death metal is definitely a good thing (or at least not a bad thing)

What??! My favourite piece of music with one of the best proghead of the new generation. I know that it will not be as awesome as the original piece but I want to hear it.
