Ditto-would love to have that album, hopefully on CD remastered someday

Two quite new albums that I'm interested in and that are probably out-of-print:

Premiata Forneria Marconi: Stati di immaginazione
The Future Kings of England: The Future Kings of England

My favourite movie soundtrack is Alfred the Great by Raymond Leppard. Unfortunately very rare . I was looking for it on youtube many years ago, and it did show up a couple of times, but I couldn't afford the price. I ended up buying a burnt cd from a person on the net. The sound quality is not very good. I have a feeling that the vinyl version has better quality.Today it's probably extremely rare.

This thread makes me think of:

... which is by far the best song on the rather poor album "Wild Mood Swings". Not all bad, i might add.

Yep, Dehumanizer is rather excellent, but so are Tyr and Headless Cross. Not as good, but still very. All of them since Headless Cross are I.R.S. releases, so the reason for only Dehumanizer being available for the recent years is just in the presence of Dio, I suppose.

To be honest, i havn't played more than a few songs off "forbidden", and only done it ONCE Embarrassed
But yeah, it's Sabbath, dammit! "Cross Purposes" is much better, though. But from that era of Sabbath albums, "Dehumanizer" is definitely the best one!

I'd still like to have Cross Purposes, and perhaps Forbidden some day. I actually had a chance of getting Forbidden when I scored Headless Cross and Tyr a while ago, but I decided to pass for now as it's not a very good album. But well, it still has "Black Sabbath" on the cover, so I gotta has it some day.

Glad to say that i own all of Black Sabbath's studio albums, including the out-of-print ones from the late 80's and early 90's.
By that i mean "Headless Cross", "TYR", "Cross Purposes" and "Forbidden". "Dehumanizer" is very common for some reason, but i never see any of the others go for less than about $15 (it's not rare to see them for $20 or more)
Me? I got them all in the $3 to $7 range Headbanger

I think Änglagård's records were reissued not too long ago (a few years maybe), but maybe those went out of print aswell LOL
Never heard them, though, but they seem exciting!

You can get both albums here:  http://www.alvarsdotter.com/Welcome.html.
I got Epilog there last year.
A bit expensive, but probably worth it.

Yeah, totally worth it. Thanks!

Yeah, the owner said they've been out of print for the second time now. LOLUnhappy Hybris is a masterpiece. They only have two studio albums, but definitely start there if you haven't listened to them. Love your Daydream Nation avatar, by the way - my favourite Sonic Youth album. Cross The Breeze is extremely frantic, I love it.

^ I'm not implying it is out of print, I'm just unable to find it anywhere. I'm not great at looking for stuff beyond Amazon, eBay and Wayside.

Oh, and the Cardiacs pain is also mutual Unhappy

^ I didn't know that Jean Louis was OOP - you can try e-mailing the band to see if they have any still in stock, I think their contact info is on their MySpace. But Wayside (where I bought my copy) is indeed out of stock.

I share Frippism's pain RE: Cardiacs. A few others from my list that I have resigned to probably never owning:

The Dear Hunter: Branches EP
Guruh Gipsy
Peter Hammill - The Fall of the House of Usher
Quasar Lux Symphoniae - anything
Graduate - Acting My Age (Curt and Roland pre-Tears for Fears)

Potemkine - Foetus
Haruomi Hosono - Hosono House
Jack Hendrix - Rhythmofeeling
Circus - Movin' On
Jean Louis - Jean Louis
It's A Beautiful Day - It's A Beautiful Day

And like, the Frank Zappa vault.

If anyone knows anyplace that CD or LP versions of these lie, I'd be grateful followed by angry as I was doing so well at saving my money.

Don Shinn (organist) made a solo album called (I think) Temples of Phrophets which despite years of searching, I've never been able to locate a copy.
Tender Lugers only album Johnny Orgy (I owned it on vinyl and erm...lost it)
Noel Coward (yes really) recorded an album called The Girl Who Came to Supper (just him and a piano - it's beyond brilliant BTW) and yes, I had the vinyl version and see above

Chicago punk band The Effigies put out three excellent albums on the Enigma label in the 80s (For Ever Grounded, Fly on a Wire, Ink). They went out of print, and have never been issued on CD.   I have old LPs, but I'd love to have them on CD.  A lot of great stuff released on that label has vanished indefinitely, it seems.
