hi SouthSide,
Thanks - Well it's very unlikely really as we are all doing different things these days and some of the guys are no longer involved in the music business. But I am considering releasing a CD version of Across The Circle's Edge (beyond 2012) in the next few months, that would also include some live recordings of songs that have previously not been released. cheers Phil |

Any chance of the band getting back together and recording a new album? |

Cheers Phil, I've updated the entry and added a reference to the digital re-release.

Thanks Easy Livin,
Strictly speaking Across The Circle's Edge is an E.P. [6 tracks]. I registered it [the updated version of the tracks that is] with iTunes, Amazon an other digital media outlets as an E.P. They seem to have it listed as an album so far I think. I also created new cover artwork for this current release which you can see at www.winteronline.co.uk The original vinyl release was in 1990 and the subsequent CD version was in 1992. This digital version was released on 19th Jan 2012 and comprises the same songs but has additional keyboard parts added [which had been omitted back in 1990 and 1992 due to time restrictions in the studio] let me know if there is anything else you need and thanks again - we're just trying to get the word out there about this updated release really. cheers Phil |

I notice that we have this listed as an album, not an EP, and the release date shown as 1992. Can you confirm that we need to correct these things Phil?
Thanks!

I reviewed the album a while ago. It is a good album. But it is much more Neo- Prog than Prog Metal. |

Hi there all Progressive Rock fans.
I am delighted to announce that Irish Neo-Prog band WINTER have now released updated versions of the tracks from ACROSS THE CIRCLE'S EDGE on iTunes, Amazon and other digital download outlets. See www.winteronline.co.uk for all the details. We are considering releasing a CD version of these updated songs which may well include some previously unreleased material. Spread the word .. cheers Phil Murray Performed by; Johnathan Lennie: Vocals / Lyrics John Murphy: Drums Philip Murray: Keyboards / Piano Rab Beggs: Guitars Richard Loyer: Bass Guitar Across The Circle’s Edge was released on their own label, Circle’s Edge Records, in August 1990 in vinyl format, this was a 6 track E.P. The recordings were engineered by superb musician and producer, Lawrence Thomson and recorded at Level One Studios, Newtownards and Dove Studios, Belfast. It was re-released by SI Records, Holland in 1992 in CD format.
