Rocking-hard frozen ice cream is much more annoying - and waaaaayyy much more disturbing, if you ask me.

Yup.  I've been known to put on some fudge or caramel and then microwave the bowl for a few seconds to start the meltingLOL

There most certainly is, floor-shakingly good stuff, can't recall the damn brand though.
Small makers, as already discussed, often dominate, whatever country - in Amalfi I had some stunning milk & dark chocolate spoons. Top stuff.

The best chockies I'm had in the Atlanta area are made by a French guy who has a shop called Maison Robert. Big smile  Sorry to spoil the original intent of the thread but I don't hate them at all...

Sorry. I meant the main big brands. You will always find great chocolate anywhere from smaller manufactureres.

Oh yeah, when you compare Robert's stuff to mass manufactured stuff it just doesn't come close.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
