I'll also answer your question... in addition to Felona's
excellent recommendations, I suggest you check out Vanden Plas' "Beyond
Daylight", sort of a heavier Kansas.

Hi people, I'm new to this prog rock forum and to the genre itself. I love Rush, Kansas, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd and a few others but i'd like to listen to some more, so any ideas of my next cd to buy fire away. |
well ... to actually answer your question (unlike some I could mention above ) I would recommend a new Polish band called Riverside (melodic metal) and a newish German band RPWL (very Pink Floydy) Check out the samples here on PA or go to their websites. The Riverside sample isn't (IMO) the best example of the album though but may give you a rough idea.
Welcome btw ...

Hey we only just got used to it!

We already got BaldJean and BaldFriede in the matching name department, we don't need Cygnus X-1 and Cygnus X-2.
|
I don't really see why he should change it.

Thank you, my friend.
Hopefully, this will rectify any confusion that has been placed on the fragile minds of the forum members who were gracious enough to post their opinions.
