no, the explanation is a lot more simple and was given in an interview with the two: Regarding the name, combining Squire and Hackett for Squackett. Were other names tossed around? Squire: Not really. The only way that name really came about was because during the course of doing the project, we would often spent all day in the studio and then go somewhere to have dinner in London in the evening. My wife got fed up with [the question] “Who’s the reservation in the name of?” And she used to say “Squackett.” That’s really where the name came from. And it kind of stuck. |

After listening to both songs I agree that it just sounded like Hackett's most recent solo efforts, but strangely I thought it sounded a little more electric guitar oriented than those. I hope there's a little more Chris material, according to that very long interview esotericarts posted Steve took lead on some and Chris on others so hopefully there should be more places where Chris can shine on the whole album.

They're immediately recognizable as having been written by Hackett, no doubt. It sounds quite a lot like his last two solo records (though if I understand the story correctly, it was written and recorded before either), though every now and then we heard some gurgling Squire playing and the odd backing vocal. As much as I do enjoy those records and Steve's voice, I do hope that Chris gets some time to shine!

As a huge Hackett fan--I'm surprised at much it sounds like a Hackett album----and also how Squire's voice is rather low in the mix. The album has many Hackett people involved.

Thanks for the heads up! Sounds promising, better than "Conspiracy." I'd like to see Squire succeed in a project outside of Yes, better late than never.
