It is a philosophical problem that must be addressed before we move on....

LOL . I think it's half-full because the water is present in the glass. Whether the glass is there or not, I wouldn't know that.

I think I must be a neutralist because it is both.Probably explains why I can never get the right attitude about life, if there is such a thing anyway.

A glass is not defined by what it's made of, but rather by its function.  Moreover, I think claiming a glass to be EITHER half full or half empty is bound to be inaccurate, unless you've done a precise measurement of the volume of the glass and the contents (or lack of) therein.  Finding the percent "fullness" of the glass can be easily achieved with a pocket calculator after that (target: 50%)

I swear I will come through,
With my hands stretching out in the dark,
With my eye pressed up tight to the glass,
Wondering if it's all been true.
He say nothing is quite what it seems;
I say nothing is nothing

Well, in English we sometimes refer to one made of plastic as a glass.  That should clarify the question. Tongue

If it's been filled halfway, it's half full. If it's been emptied halfway, it's half empty.

One can say the glass is half full of air and half full of water, after all.

The glass just is.  The water and air are irrelevant...

Depends on what it's filled with.
Crushed like a rose in the riverflow.
