The Drive To Work, Optimist
Have no problem with work, especialy the drive, its rather short and i listen to great music every morning.
Apart from the unlikely situation, that i should suddently had millions to spend, im fine with the social connections and interlectual challanges, i get from work, and its far from able to make me pessimistic.

I work to live more than I live to work. Wink

Also drive to work more than I work to drive.

Balance is important.

I've had good jobs all my life, but if you could booze it up, watch tv and listen to music at work, what the hell do you aspire to do in your free time?   I come pretty close to doing two of the three at work.  Working on a computer is kind of like watching TV and I do get to listen to music while I do it, I just have to keep it down.

Oh, I've had good jobs too.  And I have even "enjoyed" some of my jobs.  But even the best job in the world doesn't compare to being at home or otherwise really enjoying life.

Having a good job means you are engaged at work and get paid enough and not made to work too many hours to not be able to have the room or free time to enjoy yourself when you are not working.

And I've had those.  And I still prefer goofing off 100% of the time to working.  Work is something I must do to survive.  Don't expect me to love it.  Tongue
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I do all those things at home. And at work. It’s the same place, you know. Sometimes I even work.

Sometimes I do all three of them. I’m a translator, and every now and then I have a glass of something different than water while i work.

So when you're home you just drink something, watch something, and listen to something different?

Maybe have sex, sleep, eat, dream or do you do that at work, too? Tongue

^ I agree. It turns out that a lot of people seem to think there's a correlation.

It is a big problem. Being confused and sleepy all the time is no bueno. I'm kinda surprised this poll hasn't polarized between option A and option D. You'd think the optimists would delude themselves into looking forward to accomplishing significant things at work, whereas the pessimists would realize it's actually all futile and pointless.

Then you're probably a realist.

I'm asking if you prefer your commute going from your house to your work or your commute going from work to your house.

Then I'm asking if you would say that you are an optimist or a pessimist.

Thanks, makes sense now.

I can't contribute, though, it always depended on the day and on the job for me, and also I can't decide whether I'm an optimist or a pessimist. :/
