There's more available on Ebay than you would think ... just a reminder in case you don't know: Once you have an account with Ebay, you can setup automated searches ... just search for something, and click "Add to favorites". You can then choose a name for the search and setup an email notification ... I'm making heavy use of this feature. You will not miss any item that matches the search criteria. I got 2 national health albums (of queues and d.s.-3.95 each!!!), time is the key, space shanty, shamal, nucleus (elastic rock/we'll talk), soft machine bundles l.p., and hopefully more to come....(time is the key was expensive, but it is an ultra-rare c.d., so I guess its o.k....)

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

It's not exactly prog, but I just won an auction: Avantasia - The Metal Opera pt.1 for €10.50 including shipping. |

I just put 3 Pink Floyd albums onto eBay - with more to follow. They're all in great condition, with a money-back guarantee.

Yes ... apparently it is out of stock, and even if it wasn't, the $20 + shipping + tax etc. would amount to about 45€. |

Thanks, I'm only interested in CDs ... and no, there was no general thread about Ebay before, only threads asking for specific albums. I'm more interested in which records or CDs are typically traded on Ebay, and what the price levels are. Currently I'm searching for Yellow Matter Custard DVDs ... but they're averaging at €50, that's just too much for an official bootleg. |

There are some other threads on this that you may want to dig up. If you're interested in collector's vinyl, give me a shout! |

A lot of good prog albums can be bought on Ebay. The problem is to know the proper price for an album. Often the only way is to watch some auctions for the album you want and to see how much it normaly costs, and then to place a bid with that price in the next auction. As prog albums are not offered too often, the waiting can be tedious. That's why I created this thread: Here you can post albums you just bought on Ebay, with a little information about the condition of the album, if it was vinyl or CD, and how much you paid. This will give others that are thinking of buying the item some idea about how expensive it may be. I'll start: This week I bought: Gentle Giant - Octopus (CD) for €7.05 (including shipping), in good condition. Pain Of Salvation - Remedy Lane (CD) for €10.65 (new).
