Topic: Anathema vs Anekdoten Posted: June 23 2014 at 01:19 |
I love Anathema (all era's) but I don't know Anekdoten at all (another big hole in my collection) so I can't vote.

Anathema
|
When he rides, my fears subside. For darkness turns once more to light. Through the skies, his white horse flies. To find a land beyond the night.

Anekdoten
Anathema after Judgement doesn't do much for me.

Anathema were one of the main shape-formers of modern
prog/post-progressive, and they did a lot of truly masterpieceful
albums. 'Distant Satellites' showed how heartfelt and magnificent can
they be also in electronic music.
As for Anekdoten... I love King Crimson's Red for too much to appreciate its pale copy.

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Recently discovered both bands and I've been enjoying them a lot. Both have high rated albums here in the archives and both names begins with "AN" (not important at all )
So which do you prefer?

I look up, I'm almost blinded
by the warmth of what's inside me
