Topic: Derek Sherinian releases new album "Oceana" Posted: September 29 2011 at 17:02 |
You laugh to death??
Well just say in a recent review exectly what I´ve said: Among all those guitarrists in a Jeff Beck styled album, SHERINIAN SEEMS TO BE A GUEST AT HIS OWN ALBUM...

I think you're over-exaggerating. Sherinian likes to have his keys blend in with the rest of the band instead of dominating the sound; which I commend him for.
Thing is, he is also a big rock/metal fan, so the guitars will also be very prominent. I personally have had no problem with his studio sound. Planet X albums have also always sounded good.
Anyway, the last album of his was pretty good, so I expect this one to be of at least similar quality. If not better!

Hmm the cover artwork is just great!
My problem with Derek solo albuns is that he never puts the keyboards on top of the sound, as he seems ashamed to be a keyboard player and seems to be a guest on his own albuns... |
What? Are you serious?

But great news!!
