When I suddenly realized it was a new song and my mind ultimately allowed me rationalization, I told myself: hey I got to record that! And spread the good news to every Godspeed listeners out there

Yeah I'm sorry I only recorded this tiny part but I was completely mesmerized and could only concentrate on my ipod for that long

Bring it on~! I'm sure it'll be great. The clip sounds kind of like the Skinny Fists material, I'd be interested to hear the whole piece.

They really are working on new material, I recorded this two nights ago at the venue in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec. I'm pretty sure it's a new song (not Albanian or Gamelan and not on any of the 4 studio albums for sure).

I've never been particularly taken by any of their post-Skinny Fists material, as they seemed to be sticking to a pretty rigid formula by that point. Hopefully anything new by them will be a real progression of their sound rather than simply more of the same.

I previously stated that I don't like GY!BE because they are boring, but I've changed my mind. Out of all of the post-rock bands, they're probably the most interesting. If they release a new album then I'll probably check it out.
