It sounds more like David Sylvian's work than Crimson. Not bad.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

i thought it was ok, I could sense the King Crimson feel. I think there will be better songs on the album.

The sample has still not digested after quite a few spread out listens... I'm trying to like it, and failing thus far!

Not crazy about the sample, I hope the rest of the album is a bit better. But maybe I just need a bit of time with it... I´m still gonna get it!

Didn't see that, looks like an accurate description indeed judging by the sample. |

Ambiental/riffing experimentation, or something like that. Not that kind of melodies and that kind of sax tone of playing (fuzzaky is you ask me). I'll probably like it, I'll just have to wait a bit to get over the unfulfilled expectations moment. |

Sounds pretty close to what the KC store described.

What did you expect? I like it. Especially with Levin/Harrison, there's going to be some serious fusion going on. Edited by Any Colour You Like - April 06 2011 at 16:41 |

Sounds better than anything the Crimso has done since the 80's.

I saw a video of 21st Century Schizoid Band with Jakko, and Indeed I really liked his singing... for me he's a better singer than any King Crimson singer, except for Lake (in his prime), and for some sort of songs, I guess he is even better.

Jakko Jakszyk is incredible. It's nice to see him working with these people. I hope he sings a bit. He has a great voice too!

But 21st Century Schizoid Band wasn't just any band covering early King Crimson material, this band consisted of Mel Collins, Mike Giles, Peter Giles, Ian McDonald, and the so mentioned Jakko Jackzyk; Mike Giles was replaced later by Ian Wallace. So, as a matter of fact, this band consisted almost entirely of King Crimson members (except for Jakko, and now it could almost be said that he has become a King Crimson member himself). This band has released a few live albums and DVD's (by both versions of the band). |

It would be nice to have a tour or sorts for this but it is unlikely. I'm happy that Mr. Fripp got a bug up his bum and decided to put some music down for us mortals to hear. I can't wait for this to come out.
