I have to go with Zep IV. Despite the cases of plagiarism, which plagues the entire Zep early catalogue, IV has so many great songs in it that is hard for Who's Next to beat it. That said, both are truly amazing albums.

These are nasty polls, the Who vs. Zep ones, apparently designed to send us over the brink.
LZ IV and Who's Next both have a song that has been so overplayed as to render it virtually irrelevant. So once we get rid of those, we are still left with fine albums, the sorts of which we'll probably never hear again.
My brain (which I went with) voted for Who's Next. My gut would have gone with LZ IV. I'm pretty sure that When The Levee Breaks (I don't care that they ripped it off) is a high point of the era.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?

Wow! This is probably the most difficult poll I've seen. Both albums are superlative. It's almost unfair to pick one or the other as they both are in my top 20 rock albums of all time. I'll have to go on band preference and pick Zeppelin IV, which is a more diverse album as far as folk and blues influences.
