Have you tried Guitar Pro?

The guitar pro song files have all instrumentation available and display as manuscript and tablature. With its ability to slow down sections (or the whole song) it is a great tool for learning new stuff. You visually play along to the staff or tab while hearing the song and the files are usually accurate in reproduction.

The song files are freely available on the net, but the Guitar Pro app is a paid for product, though very inexpensive.

hey everybody!

I am new to this sight, and let me say I am so happy to find a place were people share the same taste...I don't have too waste my time pointing out why metalcore and pop is pointless Tongue

that being said, I have been playing bass for about three years now! I'm at the point were i really want to improve my chops, and get better at music reading! I was wondering if anybody knew of any Bass transcriptions from prog rock artists i could get?  I mean Dream theater, Spock's beard, Yes, anything will do!

Thanks!

(i would prefer books! and i don't care if it has the tabs also, but i'm really interested in the music notation)
