but I have read some 20- 30 odd theories and blogs about whom he might be and all are pretty interesting, it is funny how a caracter which Tolkien actually did NOT make any big deal with he was just there, make people (geeks like me) lying at night thinking and not sleeping and philosophizing till the brain hurts and gets soar FRUSTRAITING

I will go with Tom from Tom and Jerry. It was wonderful to see such a piece of music art work that matches with the persuit... and in three episodes Tom wins... he rules...!!

Tom Bombadil is just a fantastic being becoue no one knows what he is, or who he is, he is so cought upp i mistery, folklore and somthing not graspable. pluss he is superpowefull in he's own domain and old, and again a mysterious force my 4th favourtie Tolkien carachter after Turin Turambar, Gandalf and Beren.
