fresh and fun, enough math to qualify, and they have a proper CD available. I will add them, thanks Trouserpress and harmonium

Excellent. I'm not too clued up on Math Rock as a whole, having just stumbled across the odd album here and there, and wasn't sure if these guys would be considered too melodic or straightforward. Mind you, maybe it's just like that to my ears... been listening to a lot of Henry Cow recently - makes most prog albums sound like two chord pop songs in comparison!

It is difficult to find a PA unsuitable math-rock album. This genre is progressive by DNA and this album proves it. Great stuff.
This being said, I'll ask for an evaluation |

New to me. Their second album is currently available to stream in full here:
http://www.nialler9.com/2010/08/16/listen-adebisi-shank-album/ Really fun, energetic music. Traces of Battles, Polysics and no doubt tons of other bands too hip for me to know. Good fit for math rock on the database? Dunno. Regardless, this seems like a very fine album indeed. |
