INTERESTING THRAED
LIKE OTHERS HERE I AM NOT A BIG MOVIE WATCHER ANYMORE,MY BEEF IS WITH MOVIE MAKERS WHO INSIST ON PUTTING SOCIAL/POLITICAL MESSAGES OF AN OVERT NATURE INTO MOVIES EG,I AM NOT INTERESTED WHETHER YOU ARE A DEMOCRAT WHO HATES CONSERVATIVES AND MAKES THEM THE BAD GUYS(OR VICE VERSA) OR WHERE A PARTICULAR DIRECTOR STANDS ON ABORTION, WOMENS RIGHTS, GAY ISSUES(UNLESS THE MOVIE SPECIFICALLY IS ABOUT THESE ISSUES ) I AM TALKING ABOUT THOSE MOVIES WHICH DO NOT DEAL WITH THE ISSUE BUT THE DIRECTOR INSISTS ON MAKING A COMMENT IN OTHER WORDS WHEN THE SUBJECT MATTER DOES NOT CALL FOR THE ISSUE TO BE RAISED BUT OUR SOCIALLY AWARE DIRECTOR/PRODUCER DECIDES TO COMMENT ANYWAY....ITS REALLY ANNOYING
MY ATTITUDE IS "ENTERTAIN ME,DONT PREACH TO ME"
SO THERE ARE MANY MOVIES OF RECENT VINTAGE I HAVE NOT SEEN OR STARTED WATCHING AND GAVE UP IN DISGUST.
SOME CLASSICS I HAVE YET TO SEE ARE
THE GODFATHER(ALL THE MOVIES)
HOLLOWEEN(ALL OF THEM)
FRIDAY THE 13TH(ALL OF THEM)
THE TWO LATEST STAR WARS MOVIES(I SAW "THE PHANTOM MENACE" AND THOUGHT IT WAS TECHNICALLY BRILLIANT BUT LACKED THE FUN AND SLIGHTLY "TONGUE IN CHEEK" NATURE OF THE ORIGINAL MOVIES.)
A CLOCKWORK ORANGE(WELL ACTUALLY I DID SEE ABOUT 45 MINUTES OF IT AND THOUGHT "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME".............)
THE FRENCH CONNECTION
TITANIC(OKAY I DID WATCH THE FIRST HALF HOUR OR SO AND GAVE UP BECAUSE IT WAS BORING AND LEONARDO DE CRAPPIO IS OVERATED,IMHO)
THERE ARE MANY OTHERS....
ONE MOVIE I DID GET TO SEE FOR THE FIRST TIME ABOUT FIVE MONTHS AGO WAS "THE SHINING"(THE ORIGINAL NOT THE MINI SERIES) WITH JACK NICHOLSON IT WAS ACTUALLY PRETTY GOOD AND OLD JACK WAS QUITE SCARY!!, (THE FAMOUS "HEEEERES JHONNY" SCENE)

Kill Bill (Both)
Star Wars (Attack of the Clones)
Citizen Cane
The Itallian Job
The Good the bad & the Ugly
The Long Good Friday
I have also managed to avoid virtually everything with Keanu Reeves in it apart from Bill & Teds Excellent adventure (Both parts) Which is obviously a masterpice of modern cinema

Just about every American?hollywod blockbuster in the last decade....
I hate every film with a big budget made for breaking the box office cashboxes. I refuse to participate in those money gubbing machines even though I may be missing on some good flicks. 90% of my film viewing is non-USA. I will however see Cohen Bros , Woody Allen and Sean Penn productions.

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

The Godfathers...Most of Scorsese's early work...The Rockys...Dr. Strangelove and The Un-Edited version of The Shining (even though I'm not a Kubrick fan)...
Interesting how most of us haven't seen the same movies hehe.

my "never seen" list is about the same as this one...
did see the second alien + chinatown.
started watching titanic - after a few minutes thought it was nothin' more than a special effects soap opera.
