Honestly, frankly, with all my sincerity...
The Blade Trilogy. The first Matrix made laugh. But, really, it made me laugh out and loud, like a child. The two others bore me and even baffled me. So, the black vampire. Ridiculous, but, at least, it comes from a comics and it doesn't pretend to have philosophical ambitions which Dick and other Si-Fi writers wrote about a dozen times, 30 years before and in a better and more articulate way. |

and after Wesley Snipes is done with the tax-thing, a Blade 4 might be made (I am looking forward to that), he is by the way 4th dan Black belt in Karate, master in Kong-fu and Capoeira, but have also studited various african and arabic fight styles.

Both movies didn't need a sequel.

The first Matrix film was pretty good, but I did find it a little disappointing. The second was okay. As for the third...
Haven't seen Blade.

Really neither, but I still remember the feeling leaving the theater after seeing the Matrix so I went with it. I also remember the feeling of leaving the theater after the sequels though.

Neither. The first Matrix and Blade movies were very enjoyable and interesting, but not great movies. The sequels in both lines are much weaker than the originals and not great entertainment at all, just special effects and fighting.

I will recomend the first two Blade flicks (the first Blade was the beginning of the new comic book to film success, which started in 1997, which led to Spiderman, Daredevil, Fantastiv Four, Hulk, Superman returns, Sin City, 300 and ended with Watchmen (the best film this millenia) )

Never seen any of the Blades
The Matrix (I) was an amazing movie! II is meh (used to hate it, but warmed up to meh) and III was...more meh Also forced, talk about crazy story. The 3 do make sense but only after many views and thought, I think? I swear the story feels rushed OR like they threw so much together. sad really |

I liked The Matrix at the time, but I do not think it is one of the most important films in history. It is actually quite stupid. I have not nor will ever see the Blade movies, so I guess I can't vote. But seriously, The Matrix is terrible.

Blade 1 is the first full time film with bullet time effect but Matrix is the film that made it popular and perfectioned it and since then it has been used in every action film,
Blade is the first film were vampires are being placed as somthing else then gothic caracthers here they are mob's hores, policement in every offical section of the society.
I enjoy all the Blade movies, the third lacks ore is to full of action that it becomes silly, 1 & 2 are realy good, dark, facinating enemys, cool evil carchters, fight scenes, Snipes, Kris Kristoffersen, heavy dose off awsome techno music,
Matrix 1 is one of the most important films in history, it litterly changed the scope of how films are made today ( much of that fame it owes to Blade IMO), the two followe ups are ok nice action complex philosophic theories which goes over my head, figh scenes, evel spider/octopus aliens, agent Smith /Elrond, Kate Moss, Keanu Reavs, cool fight scenes, yeah...
