LOTR obliterates the movie by overrated director G. Del Toro...

You've got a cool teacher. In our class, we had to watch this. At least it provided my friends and I with a meme, shouting "DOBLE SEIS!!!!" whenever we're playing a table-top game.

My English 12 teacher let us watch Shawshank Redemption. We were only supposed to watch it while the sub was there but we protested and he let us watch the rest. |

What school do you go to that lets you watch R-rated movies in class?

I've gotta look at Pan's Labyrinth. It keeps popping up on this site, so there must be something to it.

If Lord of the Rings as a trilogy were an option, this would have been tricky. But no individual part of the series competes with Pans Labyrinth.

Yeah, but still I like Pan's Labyrinth much more than Devil's Backbone. |

The Lord of the Rings were enjoyable entertaining etc. But Pan's Labyrinth is fantastic and 'Needlessly Bizarre' and a far better film. Loved it! It's all real by the way! 'The Devil's Backbone' is great too - but less bizarre!

Pans Labyrinth, because LOTR could never have lived up to my expectations.

LotR has some pretty impressive pictures in it, but Pan's Labyrinth is actually a great movie.

Surprised no one has voted for IMO the best LotR, The Two Towers.

Even though Lord of the Rings was a monumental cinematic achievement in scope and scale, nothing can compare to the sheer simplistic beauty of Pan's Labyrinth. Guillermo Del Toro is one of my favorite directors just based on that one film. |

It was as real as the human imagination, which is capable of creating the unreal. |
