Topic: I am a rain dog, too. (A Tom Waits poll) Posted: July 25 2010 at 17:48 |
Haven't heard all of these - unfortunately! But I do like Swordfishtrombones and the first one I aquired was 'Blue Valentine' which I would vote for if it was here.
Will vote for Blood Money which I have started to listen to quite a lot recently - tis fantastic (But might be novelty value - haven't decided yet) .

I'm not a rain dog, I'm a variating mule.

Well, I guess I could be a mechanized bone bag, or maybe I'm a flower on a flower's grave. I'm not too sure. Hell, I might just be playing the accordeon down there at the slaughterhouse.

Swordfishtrombones.
I never could stand that dog, either.

Tom Waits has the amazing ability to always grab hold of my heart and squeeze it, tightly. These aren't all his releases, but are the ones I've enjoyed the most. Pick your favorite and feel free to discuss the man and his work.
I s'pose my favorite is either Small Change or Bone Machine.
