They weren't earlier...they have been moved back by a rogue Admin or certified thread mover somethingorother!Angry

I suppose it would be best if it was made impossible to make or move polls to areas where they don't work?

I'm noticing a lot of Prog Polls being moved to areas of the forum where polls are not enabled.

Because of the moves, people are no longer able to vote.  Here are several polls that are now no longer polls due to being moved:
